someone is gay!!!!

This article was passed along from a loyal reader. Its been so long i almost forgot about 90210.

Exclusive: Who's Gay on 90210?

It's a girl!
After all our guesses about which male character (Navid? Ty? That blond guy?) would come out of the closet on 90210, it's cheerleader Christina Worthy who is the same-sex-oriented cast member, sources tell TVGuide.com exclusively.
In the Nov. 18 episode, Christina (Lauren London) was macking on Dixon pretty obviously during the Spirit Dinner and then again at the lacrosse game. "Who's that?" Silver asked, as Christina sashayed away in her miniskirt. But we'll discover in the Jan. 6 episode that Christina has a girlfriend. (Before you ask, the girlfriend is not played by Friday Night Lights' Aimee Teegarden; that's a different character and storyline altogether.) Christina is described as being bisexual by sources close to the show, which I'm guessing means that she'll also continue to carry a torch for Dixon. Confusing!
London had a memorable guest-starring gig on Entourage as Kelly, the daughter of Turtle's mechanic, and has also appeared in the movies This Christmas and ATL.
What do you think about this casting? Will Christina be a gay-positive role model -- or is a bisexual high school cheerleader just another male fantasy?

-its about time a show went out of the box and the gay character was a girl. I know the OC did it but it is just different. They did it to get the viewers with 2 hot girls making out.
-Chuck Bass or rather Ed Westwick was extraordinary last night. Broadway may be calling.
-On the friday after thanksgiving soapnet did a 90210 marathon entitled "Kelly's leftover" what a whore!! this deserves an entire post at another time. But just to further prove my point of what a two faced slut this girl really is, at 5 pm the Episode was on. The one where Dylan asks her to go on a trip around the world and Brandon ands her to marry him. Their sideburns must have been getting to their heads. Thank g-d the 90's ended and they lost those things. Anyhow, apparently Kelly and Brandon are dating in this episode when Dylan asks kelly to go around the world with him and instead of saying no i have a boyfriend she decides to think about and proceeds to make out with Dylan in braod daylight on the beach. It never occurs to her that she is doing something immoral. Then this poor bastard Brandon comes along (maybe this is why I lack a bit of respect for him) and rather than smack this bitch upside her head and call her out for the slut that she is, he goes and buys her a ring and asks her to marry him. She then has to think about it, but not without first hitting the sack with him. And then sometime after Brandon and kelly do the nasty along comes Dylan to see if Kelly has an answer. Of course she doesn't, she has not even showered since she was between the sheets with Brandon. But do you think that stops her from making out with Dylan right then and there while Donna and Claire look on, both knowing that Brandon just left after sex with Kelly. What a pig this girl is. And then she goes and chooses herself, she claims it is to save Brandon and Dylan's friendship but in reality it is to go to NY and hook up with everything walking like most 20 year olds do who come to NY for the summer to "intern". Intern as a whore!

till next time

My Wife Didn't Like This Episode and I Don't Blame Her

I decided well before last night's show to try something different with the blog. Unfortunately the show was horrendous last night and that will affect the delivery and the content. Given last week's episode, this week had so much hype to it, I know everyone was feeling it. What's going to happen? Are Annie and Naomi going to come to blows? etc. etc. etc. Well this show was 12 eggs short of a dozen. Possibly it was the hype that last week brought us and the anticipated return of Brenda that made you think you were going to be in for something special. Unfortunately it was not. It was overhyped and I brought that upon myself. It's a shame because it was a down week for Gossip Girl as well, not enough Chuck Bass. I haven't even watched the Hills yet, and I am getting nervous that that might be the worst six and a half minutes of tv this week. If you noticed i started capitalizing my "i's" and making an effort in my grammar and spelling for the sole reason that my wife said she may read it if I do a better job in the grammar department. So here is hoping she reads along with us, but after last night's episode I don't know if she will ever watch again.

So here goes the first running diary for The 9-0 Report:

8:35 pm

The dvr is set and I am plotting my time when I am going to watch 90210 when Scott calls for a little pre 9-0 hype. He is pumped, I am pumped and I am getting more pumped just talking about how great last week's episode was and how it is just starting to fall into place, we have our antagonist (Naomi) and our protagonist (Annie) as our main event, the undercard is filling in nicely and the return of Brenda Walsh tonight. Brenda is coming back!!! During this conversation I am in the kitchen with the 9-0 wife and she is wondering what two 30 year old guys are talking about. All she hears is "yeah its going to be awesome, I am pumped ...... she is coming back ...... such a bitch, its great" Scott has his night planned, he is having a nice chicken dinner and going to catch up on the blog before watching this episode to build upon the hype that we have created in our minds.

8:50 pm

With dinner in front of me I pull a strategic move to watch the end of prison break while I eat so that I have free hand during 90210 to take time stamped notes for the running diary. The wife doesn't mind.

9:15 pm

Right to scenes from last week and prior relevant scenes from past weeks. More than usual to build up the hype. To take a line out of the late Gorrilla Monsoon's library "you can cut the electricity with a knife in here"

9:17 pm

We start just where we left off last week --- outside with Naomi and Annie and their "brother". That's preety cool, almost like a to be continued episode, you don't see too much of that anymore. Ethan, Silver and Dixon are just watching the fight, this goes back to my point form last week, there are no best friends on this show. If either one of them had a best friend they would have intervened. Now back in the house Wilson family meeting with the "son" and Naomi is still there. I don't get that. After what she just did, If I am Annie I am kicking her ass out of my house. Then it gets wierd, Naomi's mom comes over and rather than run to her son or be filled with any kind of emotion she says "my son, my son". I am thinking this is either really bad acting or totally fake.

9:19 pm

Opening song and right to the first commercial break. Thank G-D for dvr. My wife now just realizes that I am taking notes and tells me that I am going to have to learn how to fast forward and write.

9:21 pm

Ethan and Annie are walking through the hallways calling each other boyfriend and girlfriend -- what losers. Could you imagine Brandon or Dylan doing this. There's Naomi, would be a good time for a cat fight but ......

9:23 pm

There's Kelly sticking her nose in where it doesn't belong and ruining what could be a good scene for her own pesonal gain and benefit. By the way is she qualified to be a guidance counselor? I guess if you were addicted to coke, stole your best friend's boyfriend, joined a cult etc. etc. etc.
Why is Adriana hanging out with Dixon and Silver a little wierd, no? Oh shit, my wife just realized what i was doing, this is not going to be fun but let me take the abuse for the benefit of 90210 ---- "I am so embarrassed right now, this is not even funny, who clocks the time? what kind of loser are you? if you don't stop I am going to watch in another room" Ok its over, i still have the pad and pen, we can continue.

9:25 pm

Silver's live blog -- another idea. Looks like Annie won the friends but what about Adriana, wasn't Naomi her best friend? and was Navid just absent from school this week? I keep checking the phone for the random text from the little one.

9:32 pm

First Brenda Walsh sighting and Kelly re-gifts some flowers from her office and Brenda is keen enough to call her out on it as Kelly is asking why she doesn't return phone calls. Do we have to get into this Kelly, do we? I would venture to say it has something to do with your comment about Dylan amongst other things oh great one.

halfway throught the show so far and it sucks --- so overhyped. Same feeling i felt at WMXX.

9:39 pm

Nice hair Tracy Clark.

9:40 pm

Possibly the best line on tv since Leave it to Beaver "Ward I think you were a little hard on the Beaver last night" ---- Silver "That skirt is so short you are going to need two hairdos".

too little Brenda

9:42 pm

How come "brother" Sean doesn't hang with Dixon, Annie or Naomi?

9:43 pm

This lunch is pretty awkward with Brenda and Kelly. Brenda telling Kelly it is not like High School anymore, they have nothing in common. I would say, Brenda is cool, Kelly is not. Brenda doesn't want to fight over Dylan with Kelly, that's right she should just take her man. As awkward as this scene was, it was the highlight of the episode, and that's bad. Brenda and Kelly breaking up, WOW, sure took long enough. This is when i asked my wife what she thought now and she said "I am am supposed to be impressed?" she is a tough one to sell.

9:49 pm

The wife is not enjoying the show --- I wonder if it is me?

9:50 pm

Silver was playing with a rubics cube ---who does that? is it 1982? so retro, i love it. She is the type of girl who you will see in a bar playing Ms. Pacman.

9:53 pm

Brenda is in the hospital and Kelly is the emergency contact. Why not Donna or David? History means something to Kelly so that is why she came for Brenda but Brenda is honest and tells her she slept with Ryan. Kelly is mad, why I ask. Didn't she tell Ryan she couldn't see him and didn't want him to wait? There goes Kelly again being selfish Kelly Taylor trying to control what everyone else does for the betterment of herself. This girl is garbage, I mean really. Whore. Now I wonder did Brenda really sleep with Ryan or did she jsut say that so Kelly will finally be out of her life and she can have Dylan all to herself without the Kelly Taylor drama?

9:56 pm

The "son" is staying at the wilson house when off to bed he goes and he makes a phone call to someone to tell them he is getting in real good with the family. Who did he call? I have a theory but will save it for another post. I told my wife and 1 reader so far just in case. Being that the next episode is not until January 6th I will have to post in between as this show did not leave us off on a good note and I feel responsible to bring back some hype.

9:57 pm

Scenes to the tune of O.A.R's new song. Brenda is pregnant and a lot of recapping. Speaking of Brenda rumor has it they are going to kill her off the show with a terminal disease. If they do this would her paqrents, brother and the rest of the gang want to come say goodbye or go to the funeral? overall disappointed. It is 50/50 my wife watches the show again. Me, I am in it for the long haul.

on the rest of the random thoughts:

-Reccomendation of the weak is O.A.R. if you don't know them look them up on itunes, not a bad gig. Been to a few of their shows and they are a lot of fun. The wife even had our wedding band learn one of their sonegs to play at our wedding.
-a part of me misses GREEK.
-Gators hung half a hundred on the ol' ball coach
-my neice turned 1 this week, good times
-did some charity last week for a good cause and i ended being more profitable as I won a year's membership at equinox and a signed marty brodeuer hockey stick which was donated right back to charity. Why do i want that, would he want a signed legal pad of mine
-Watched the Wizard of Oz this weekend, i was a little off as the last time i watched i was listening to Dark Side of the Moon. It is on my list of things to do this year, watch in its entirety.

till some other time when we will throw some theories around since this show just took on a Desperate Housewives approach.

The B*tch is Back

I have waited so long today, let's get right into the random thoughts on last night's episode:

-We have finally found a place where we can live with Naomi on the show---- as the bitch. I thought she fit the role perfect and has finally given lofe to this annoying character. i hope this continues throughout even now that their half brother has shown up.
-Speaking of the half brother, a little wierd that he showed up at harry wilson's house at midnight on the night of Annie's sweet 16 when Harry Wilson wasn't the one who hired the private investigator's to look for him.
-After a few weeks of dragging i am proud to say 90210 is back. Great episode last night highlighted by the Naomi heel turn on Annie. Like Ric Flair once said in one of his many retirement speeches "Damn that's Good TV". As stated in previus posts the the female villain is essential to creating good drama especially in high school. We knew Naomi turning on Annie was coming, it was set up beautifully and we were not surprised. (for those that don't follow a "heel turn" is when a good guy or crowd favorite turns bad or becomes a heel). The two greatest heel turns i can think of off the top of my head were Andre turning on Hogan in '87 and Hogan turning on all of us in the summer of '96 and joining the NWO. Naomi's turn was nothing of the sort as we were a part of the turn, only Annie was too stupid to realize. Naomi played it great and this should be the role that fits her. Valerie Malone was a true heel on 90210, Brenda never was. When Valerie showed up in Beverly Hills the show moved away from the 80's teen feel to a little more edgy 90's. I am all for Naomi now, the show needs scandals to survive, everything can't always be great.
-Again Ethan peaked while getting road head in the first ten minutes of the pilot. He has turned into a total geek and probably graduate early go to college and pledge Rusty's fraternity and be his little brother.
-Navid and Adrianna have stepped it up with their relationship, the show is never revolved around them but they still are able to add value. I think they are a better couple than Silver and Dixon right now.
-I finally figured out what the show is missing ---- Best friend's on the male side. We had Brandon and Dylan, they had this instant bond which couldn't be broken. They were like brothers but not brothers. The going trend on TV is this Bromania ----- Remember Spencer and Brody, the boys from Entourage, the gang on prison break, Denny Crane and Allan Shore on Boston Legal any cast of the real world -- the guys are always closer than the girls (for instance the 3 guys who ended the last and greatest season of the real world went on a bar tour together). There are no "Best Friends" on this show..... male or female, sure naomi and adrianna say it but we haven't seen it. Ethan has grown up in LA all his life, he had no friends before Annie and Dixon came to town, all he had was naomi. I know the same can be said for steve sanders and Dylan was a loner, Brandon was his first real friend. I believe this will be essential, you ned that male bond. We now have Ethan trying to be the peacemaker between the show's greatest feud, Annie and Naomi. That's pretty weak and needs to be fixed.
-Speaking of Annie and Naomi, their relation is very OC --- Annie's father and Naomi's mother have a kid together who is each their half brother on a different side and they are fighting over the same boyfriend. only the OC, 90210 never got this complicated.
-I am not even going to get into the Annie/Ethan Naomi/Ethan who is allowed to be dating whom subjuect. it is childish and immature. Perhaps maybe Kelly Taylor may want to weigh in on that, she is a model for this sort of behavior.
-and oh by the way kelly, i hope ryan nailed brenda good. I dare you to get mad at her for that. you think you can just show back up after you figure things out with Dylan and expect that Ryan is just going to drop everything to be with you. I mean just who do you think you are? I wish there was a Blair Waldorf to sort you out in the class of '93. That cop should have arrested you on the spot for being stupid enough to think you had a claim on Ryan. And why did you chase him down when he was leaving the school, to give him one of your morals lectures? Look in the mirror honey, steve sanders was right at that Spring dance back in '91. and we know Brenda should have worn another dress not you.
-and brenda didn't know the little girl from Minnesota put out like that, learning from kelly Taylor aren't we?
-now that the drugs are out of the school, i wonder what the fallout will be. this had to be the worst story line of the year.
-best scene of the evening ---- Annie standing up for herself. bravo little girl, (i hear you are like that off camera as well) she really gave it to Naomi the way Brenda should have senior year. I hope there is more of that to come. We can have a great mom/daughter mud wrestling match with lori loughlin and Annie v. Naomi and her mom.
-brenda is back next week, shouldn't only get better for the rest fo the month being that it is november sweeps.

other random tv thoughts:
-only 70 days to Lost
-big twist on Prison Break this week (no spoilers here)
-met whitney port's boyfriend this week on the hills, they actually show them meeting for the first time
-light on tv this week as i was travelling

other randowm thoughts
-go gators, looking like a bcs run is coming
-kudos to the TEP house at UF... a lot of shit went down at that place through the years, its just a shame similar situated jewish kids from south florida and the northeast won't get to enjoy that place as we all once did. Tep does i pass
-as i was visiting a friend over the weekend a grabbed their coffe table book and began to read and it is my reccomendation of the week "How to Roll a Blunt for Dummies" you can pick up a copy from the author himself on West 34th Street between 7th and 8th ave most days. Believe it or not it is not just about rolling blunts.
-speaking of TEP i saw my old tep house roommate. I will never lose touch with the guy but will never keep in touch with him, thats just the way he is. He is there when you need him and if you don't need him he is likely down for the count. A true character in his own right.

that's all for now and Naomi, welcome to the show please finally grab your seating card and join us!

till next week

week #9 the rise of Ad

Due to the election coverage I did not get to watch 90210 until very early this morning. It is one of those shows where i won't leave the house until it is watched. Given that I may not really be on my game today, but that's ok since 90210 really wasn't on its game last night and has given us just a filler episode which in the grand scheme of things and for the benefit of the longevity of the show is a good thing. However, if the show doesn't last, these fillers episodes are pointless.

on to the random thoughts from last:

-as stated in the title we are witnessing the rise of Adriana's character. Whether it is as a good girl or bad girl i think she is here to stay. She is coming back to reality and dating Navid who appears somewhat normal and not evil like her in past episodes. But when they break up, that's when she could be must watch tv, who knows what she might do. Drugs? although she does show some restraint at this little girl party for being a day out of rehab. Sex is obvioulsy meaningless to her as she was willing to have sex with Navid to pay him back for funding her drug rehab stay. Seems like so long ago she was the lead in the school play.
-Naomi still sucks. Is Ozzy the andrea zuckerman of this class, from the other side of the tracks? and what happened to Hannah Zuckerman Vazquez, was that a tease in the pilot? why can't they just put her on the show?
-Kelly Taylor is back next week ---- she was in the coming attractions and rumor has it that she has signed on for an additional 5 more episodes. Are you too good to just sign on to the show like anyother character on the show? I mean what are your credentials really? I am sure there will be plenty more righteous kelly taylor moments where she will portray herself better than everyone else. Neddless to say plenty more kelly taylor rants to come. And didn't look like Dylan returned with her. Maybe he wisened up and will return with Brenda. Then Kelly can go and find professor Finley and rejoin that cult that brandon and dylan should have never saved her from. She chose herself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-That party at Silver's house was wilder than any any party on the original show that had Steve in his buttoned down shirt buttoned up to the top (no tie) serving fruity drinks. Imean other than tequila they had grilled cheese and microwave pizza. I mean who goes to someone's house and goes into their fridge to get white bread and cheese and makes grilled cheese sandwiches? Ozzy does. Ozzy is likeable and i wouldnt be surprised to see his role and presence on the show increased.
-Annie ---- boy did she grow up in this episode and she is only 15. Her friend Naomi takes her for her first pair of Jimmy Choo shoes (which she thinks is chinese food) and how does she repay her ---- by breaking her promise not to be with Ethan. Poor girl will pay at her sweet 16 next, to which everyone is invited. It probably would have been cool to see Annie and Ethan have this secretive relationship for a few episodes, i thought that would be a good story line.
-Ryan --- just how stupid are you pick up your student (undercover narc) girlfriend at a hs party where all of your students are. You deserve your paid leave nad should have to suffer through a lecture from Kelly Taylor while you are gone.
-That party was during the week, and almost the whole school was there. Is there a loss of control in Beverly Hills?
-and for the little one, Principal Harry wears converse.

See you all at Annie's Sweet 16, hopefully grandma will be there for a little comic relief

the rest:
-Brad Bellick dies a hero monday night on prison break, a great turn of events for a character that was reallya roller coaster ride from the beginning. His self centered personality will be missed from the gang.
-We also must say good bye to D'Shawn Hardell. The good guys finally got the best of him and Mahone got his revenge. Maybe Dr. Bailey will take him back at Seattle Grace.
-Law and Order season premiere tonight. This is the original, Season 19.
-Lipstick Jungle was moved from wednesday night to friday night. Friday night is where shows go to die. Obviously this season of the jungle didnt cut it. My wife loves the show, i feel bad. She hasn't been this passionate about tv since the newlyweds was canceled and nick and jessica got a divorce.
-Still reccomending Dirty Sexy Money ---- rich people and scandal in new york city.
-I am going to take a minute to plug a friends movie playing in select movies throughout the country. Go see the "other end of the line" my friend austin is one of the main characters opposite Jesse Metcalf. He spent several weeks in India last year filming it.
-Rumor has it CW is working on reprising Melrose place. I didn't watch the original so i know very little. It spun off of 90210 when Jake the painter who was painting Jackie Taylor's house moved there. Principal Harry Wilson also lived there under an alias i would be left to assume, so did Brie Van De Kamp and numerous other tv personalities. So my question is as Melrose spun off 90210 where does it stand if it comes back, is there a relation to the new 90210 and if so what do you do about Harry Wilson? He can never go there.
-after 7 or 8 years the Sheild is finally closing up shop on fx. it was a good run and i can't wait for the ending. the story line has actually spanned the entire run of the show. Only 3 more episodes left.

Episode 7 the wait is finally over

After a two week layoff 90210 finally returned. Again I was not disappointed with the episode, that's 7 for 7 so far and i am not being biased. No rants today as Kelly Taylor did not appear so we will jump right into the random thoughts on last night's episode. Speaking of Kelly Taylor, rumor has it that Jennie Garth has signed on to do a few more episodes this season as has Shannon Doherty. Do you think there was a better offer out there for either one of them to do another TV show or movie? Probably not, this is where you belong with the rest of the WBH class of '93, whenever they wake up and realize their time in the spotlight has come and gone and you might as well go back to what made you. It can't be any worse than whatever you are doing now. Rumor also has it that Jason Priestly will be returning in a director's role only and will not be making an appearances on the show revising the role of Brandon. I listened to an interview with Jason Priestly on sunday on the AP Top 40 with Ryan Seacrest. Believe it or not Jason Priestly has directed the most episodes of BH 90210 during the 10 year run. Jason just finished up the first season directing "Secret Life of An Merican Teenager" on the abc family channel (same channel as GREEK (more on Greek later)). If you have not seen the show do yourself a favor an do not look for it on the guide, do not set the dvr or as i was informed today there do exist some people (not mentioning names) who do not have dvr and use a dvd recorder, purchase the first season on dvd or anything of the like because the show is horrendous. It is a cross between a very bad 80's movie (think john Hughes), an after school special and High School Musical 17.
on to the random thoughts........
-Navid shows up at the promises or whatever they call it rehab center dressed in all purple with white shoes. WHAT???????????? who had this genius idea? his dad is a porn producer, do you think one of the fluff girls told him if you dress up like barney and wear grandpa's white loafers i will let you use my body as an amusement park? by the end of the show we realize he went there because he likes adrianna. So that's what you wear to try and win the heart of a coed? no wonder his dad is in porn, you ever see the clientele in porn shops?
-Naomi needs to start dating Ty ------ on another show. She is awful, awful acting, awful everything. they are bringing in the adopted child of the principal and naomi's mother to help out naomi's character and he will live in the house with them. They need to do something because you just can't get rid of her she is too deep into story lines on the show and we are only in episode 7. If you get rid of naomi you lose the following 1. the love triangle between annie, ethan and naomi 2. her mother and the adopted child with the principal harry. she is only around because she is president of the PTA, if naomi is not there she would really have no role and that would be awkward to have her around. 3. the best friend/ druggie scenario with adrianna 4. the beef with Silver. Silver needs to hate on someone. 5. the rich stereotypical Bevery hills girl. She is the only one who fits the stereotype on the show. Annie and Dixon are from Kansas, Ethan can fit in in anywhere USA having family dinners at Chili's, Silver is anti establishment, Navid wore purple in public and belongs in the west village and adrianna is not hot enough and doesnt care to be. So there Naomi must remain, I am sure the writers had high hopes for her just like they did for Mondale on the original.
-Whenever Tabitha appears on the show it is a guaranteed laugh. I never watched Arrested Development but i heard she was great on that too. A few lines of hers last night as she was drinking her "kool aid" --- Kansas Women have no Kohonas and I can squash you with an eye roll.
-Cindy Walsh would have never have done what Debbie Wilson did last night. Thats why we would like to see and do things with Lori Louglin that wouldn't even consider with Carol Potter.
-From the homecoming posters posted in the halls they are only sophomores. That means 3 years at West Bev left. I thought they were at least juniors. They are all driving and passed puberty.
-homecoming was weak --- where was Emily Valentine lighting a float on fire? Adrianna busting out of rehab does not compare.
-slow dancing to fast music at the dance?
-ethan and annie ---- screw Naomi she might be my kelly taylor in the next generation.
-Navid and Adrianna ---- as the story line for adrianna has been becoming increasingly interesting, i think she is the most real character as real problems that a 16 year old in beverly hills might have, the story line for Navid has declined or actually never was. his only redeeming quality was that his father was in the porn business and thats not going to be enough. Therefore what to do but put these two together. This was sort of Donna and David. They both were odd fits. Donna was the buffer between the fueding best friends, Kelly and Brenda. So Donna was not expendable. David on the other hand was. He was weird and did not fit in with Steve, Brandon and Dylan. So how do you make him work on the show? Simple you make his dad marry Kelly's mom and they become brother and sister and now they have to like him even if donna and david break up because he will always have that connection with Kelly. And if david's dad and kelly's mom break up you have Erin b/k/a now as Silver. Kelly and David becoming brother and sister saved David's character. Or else he would be hanging out with Scott Scanlon and fighting Scott's Uncle for bed time with Scott's sister Sue, and nobody wants to see that. The Scanlon family was not cut out for Beverly Hills thats why Scott shot himself. The David and Donna relationship was more to save Donna's character as she needed a boyfriend as that was the basis of Brenda and Kelly's existence, boys. Nobody was dating Donna, remember that dress she wore to the dance that she couldnt move in? Only someone so desperate to be in that clique would date her. Recall David spent the entire first season trying to get Kelly to notice him. kelly kept him out of that clique but now she had no choice they were related and lived in the same house.
-I am putting this out there, please comment or e-mail ---- Dylan and Brandon became poster childs in the 90's. Junior high girls had their posters hanging in their rooms, had all the school supplies with their pictures on it, guys were growing sideburns etc..... Are Annie and Silver comparable on that level? I posed this question tot he only teenager i regularly speak with but she has not yet watched the show (she has them on her dvr). A friend called me a couple of weeks ago to tell me that he finally has a tv replacement for Tiffani Amber Theissen a/k/a Valeria Malone and Kelly Kapowski ------ Silver.
-House party next week ---- sex? drinking and driving? Kelly coming home to spoil the fun?

till then see you next week.

-I said i would get back to Greek earlier, so for those who follow, LC guest starred on the season finale playing herself of course. Terrible season tremendous season finale with a huge cliff hanger that made this dreadful season worth it. And the pledges finally got initiated after one full year plus of pledging.
-I am more and more impressed with Chuck Bass each week
-Man crush is growing for Brody Jenner --- the man won't back down to no one
-I reccomend Dirty Sexy Money --- good show -- rich people and scandals
-30 rock starts this week --- if you didn't catch the season premiere on nbc.com definitely check it out
-caught forgetting sarah marshall on netflix this week -- didnt know full frontal male nudity was ok.
-it seems any movie with Jonah Hill will be funny
-and put kenneth the page in the movie, forget about it

happy halloween all, i wonder if there will be any 90210 costumes out there

Week #6 D'Shawn Hardell

I know this was supposed to be the first live entry into my newly created blog (http://www.9-0report.blogspot.com/), but unfortunately I was notified by Google, my blog provider (hey its free), that I have been suspected of Spam. Would you believe google considers 90210 spam. So I had to fill out a request to be removed from this spam filter or else the entire blog gets deleted in 20 days. Now I am on a 48 hour probationary period before the blog gets released back into my custody and I cannot make any posts until I am off probation. So hopefully this email is the final one before posts are made to the blog. By the way you can still view past entries at the above website.

On to last night’s show ---- First show of the season where not 1 old cast mate was either seen or mentioned, not counting the Peach Pit of course. By the way did Nat come into an obscene amount of money to redo the Pit from the 50’s retro style diner with parking in the back alley next to the dumpster like all great diners to having outdoor seating and flat screen tvs inside. And it looks clean! They definitely have more than the 6 tables (3 on each side of the door) or 2 big L shape tables. Maybe Dylan left him some money to upgrade and that is what will bring Dylan back, not that bitch Kelly. I am still not over my hatred just yet on little Miss Perfect. Fitting she is the guidance counselor at West Bev, she gets to tell everybody her opinions on what she would do, just like she always did with Donna when they were younger and later on with Matt, telling him who to represent and not represent (the wife beater, the black couple getting the divorce, the tobacco company when her grandfather had emphysema). Got news for you kelly not everyone was born with a silver spoon and a daddy that didn’t love them enough so he just sent money so he wouldn’t have to deal with you or your strung out mother. After seeing Jackie Taylor a few weeks ago I bet Bill Taylor is either a) glad he is in jail and doesn’t have to deal with her or b) just got confirmation he made the right decision staying far away from Beverly Hills. Maybe Kelly should tell her students who she really is ---- the slut who lost her virginity in the bushes, who stole her best friend boyfriend and helped make it appear it was her best friend’s fault, who started dating her boyfriend’s best friend when times were rough for her boyfriend, who joined a cult for obvious attention (finley), who feuded with every girl in Beverly Hills who was hotter than her (Valerie and Gina), who chose herself over Brandon and Dylan, who cheated on her boyfriend in Mexico with her ex, who got knocked by her ex who is now estranged. Be that bastard to Kelly Dylan she deserves it, but the kid doesn’t and neither do your fans. Return at once. Come back to Beverly Hills with Brenda on your arm and matt Durning by your side and take this little bitch to Court and get full custody of your child. If I was writing the episode it would be like the series finale of Seinfeld, you get all the above character witnesses to testify against Kelly Taylor. Bring back Colin, he should be released from jail by now and he can explain exactly how much coke went up that nose (she can teach Adriana a thing or two) and just how selfish she was with her drugs. Enough about Kelly, I am glad we had a week off of her and I can use another.

Being that there were no old cast mates or references and that is always the basis of my writings, I would like to discuss D’Shawn Hardell. If you don’t remember him, he was the big black basketball player who Professor Randall (Brandon was banging his wife Lucinda) asked Brandon to tutor so he can be eligible to play. D’Shawn became friends with most of the gang, probably not Kelly because she is most likely a racist, and even accompanied Donna to her debutante ball. He even saved the day once for Brandon when he was running for President and D’Shawn stood up to Alex Diaz. Anyway D’Shawn Hardell is now the baddest motherf*$&#r on tv. If you don’t watch Prison Break, I am not advocating that you do, but D’Shawn Hardell has a reoccurring role this season and he is just badass. He is a hred assassin of an underground quasi governmental agency and he just tortures and kills. His voice, tone and appearance never change. He is just scary. I only watch the show because I started watching the show a few years back, and I am not one to give up. Although I am almost about to give up on Greek, it just gets stupider and stupider each week, if you watch you know what I mean. The show has been on since the summer of 2007 yet they are still in the same year of school. Rusty has been pledging since August 2007, it is October 2008. That fraternity is not that cool that you pledge for that long. And will someone just kick Evan Chambers’ ass already. And what fraternity who wears blue blazers, oxfords, khakis and penny loafers allows a gay black man to pledge? Sorry if you don’t watch, just had to vent on that one.

On to the random thoughts for last night’s episode
-all in I thought it was a good episode, not the best and not the worst. We need more like this to keep the showing going. It opened up a lot of storylines that can play out in multiple episodes.
-a page taken right out of the “Saved By The Bell” book with the taking care of a baby assignment to get Ethan and Annie together. It will happen just not yet.
-Is Naomi a part of the group even though she is broken up with ethan? Hard one to read from the awkward moment at the Peach Pit and her best friend allegiance with Adriana.
-Rumor has it Adriana is not dead, she will check in to rehab and Ryan will visit according to sources. Maybe you can get a makeover while you are there, you are not looking to good.
-Principal Wilson what are you doing? You are not in Kansas anymore! You don’t send the swat team in with dogs searching for drugs at West Bev. What did they find --- a bag of weed probably valued at $100 and a little cocaine lets call it an 8 ball valued at $120-$150. Now no one in the school likes you, the teachers are against you and you have children there. What are you thinking man? Its high school, just because the squeaky clean kids of the class of ’93 weren’t into that (except Dylan, you see he was real, although his problems did go a little far) can’t mean we have to eliminate it now. It is a different time now, everyone smoke a little weed, especially in high school. But you didn’t just stop there Mr. Wilson, did you? you had to put the undercover narc in the school. That one will go over well. You shouldn’t make it out like you were a perfect angel, I bet drugs and alcohol never came into play when you knocked up Naomi’s mom. Cant wait toil the kids find out about this one. I forsee a revolt once Ryan finds out. Imagine Naomi gets expelled and Annie/Ethan lead a Donna Martin Graduates rally.
-Was ryan’s date not the stupidest person ever? She reminded me of a girl I went to college with who is a wannabe actress out in LA, if you were there and know who I am talking about, am I not dead on? ( I once trained people!)
-Lori Loughlin got a little more face time and in her nighties too. what are they get so crazy about with Dixon missing curfew? How late could he have been, it was only 1130 and everyone was up. Hey Wilsons you are not in Kansas anymore, what is going to happen to the token black kid roaming around Beverly Hills at midnight on a school night other than the cops arresting him for being black.
-and when LL gets her hands on Naomi’s mother (you are so unimportant I don’t even know your name) she will show her what Kansas is all about, making moves on her husband.
-there was a quick reference to Dina Lohan made by Audrina to Naomi. In 10 years from now when the show is in reruns on some yet to be named low budget cable station, no one will know who Dina Lohan is. But everyone will get the reference to the Hills made during the Lucky Strike episode. The Hills is to this decade what 90210 was to the 1990’s. Got one better that captures this generation? By the way speaking of the Hills, for those of you who know me, know that I am a huge LC fan. Don’t really like Heidi, I get Spencer, but the character who has grown on me the most is Brody Jenner. Remember when Jim Carey did that Movie where everyone was watching him but he didn’t know he was on tv? The Truman Show. That’s the Hills but they know everyone is watching. There is no reason to ever stop producing this show, it is as real as it gets, you don’t have to worry about what to do when they graduate HS or college or move away --- the characters do that for you, that’s the beauty. Anyway the cameras will always follow LC, we will all be at her wedding (to whom I hope is Brody Jenner) just like in May 2000 we were at Donna and David’s in that little circle. Speaking of that wedding it was none other than Kelly Taylor who caught the Bride’s bouquet. And what did she do? She made a face and grabbed that bouquet saying its mine you cant have it to all others who even dare tried. I leave off with that.
Next time on the blog if google does me right. 90210 is off next week, don’t know why, what could the CW have that is better?

Week # 5

Given the holiday yesterday, I had a full day of anticipation of last night’s episode. If you read last week’s email you know what a fan I am of the love triangle and how I feel that automatically makes good tv. The fact that the love triangle is dates back almost 15 years makes this great tv. The fact that the love triangle is Kelly-Dylan-Brenda makes this must watch tv. I must say though, I was a little disappointed in Kelly’s behavior towards Brenda. We forget that the only reason we view Brenda as a villain on the show is because of the way she acted behind the scenes not for her character role on the actual show. Also by bring in Valerie to take her place and Gina to subsequently take Valerie’s place we are led to believe again that Brenda was the villain only because Val and Gina played those roles filling in for the departed Brenda. Brenda was never the villain. If anything it was Kelly. I mean really your best friend goes to Paris for the summer and you start hooking up with her boyfriend. Kelly, you ignorant slut. Then not only do you not tell her about it right away, you let Dylan and Brenda break up naturally and you casually start dating him afterwards. But then guilt sets in and you decide to tell Brenda of your escapades over the summer. But somehow after all that Kelly has the nerve to call out Brenda on her “old habits”. This bothered me to no end. Somewhere, I am thinking during the Brandon relationships, Kelly went from backstabbing slut (recall how she first go together with Brandon) to almighty righteous one. We know Brenda and Dylan were in touch while both were off the show and in Europe, but Kelly was with Brandon. Get over it you selfish slut. And now that you couldn’t control yourself for one night after Dylan has yet again disappointed you and you have a kid, Brenda has to be out of the love triangle. This cant be by Kelly’s rules and Kelly’s way. Brenda is a good person and deserves Dylan, if she wants him. There is obviously something going on with Brenda and Dylan. What does deleting the # from the cellphone do? You cant get it again? He wont call again? I think Kelly will be in for a rude awakening on her trip to Wyoming. Speaking of Wyoming, how are the waves out there, or did Dylan give up surfing altogether? The fact that Brenda has possibly waited 15 years for her revenge on Kelly excites me. Recall from a few posts ago I recounted Brenda’s last episode on the show when she told Dylan to give her something to come home to, well she is home………where is Dylan?

On to the random thoughts
- Fashion shows always create high drama on tv ---- young wannabe girls, high tension to be what you are not. We saw it this week on Gossip Girl (Can they send Chuck Bass out to West Bev HS to stir the pot a little?) The OC seemed to have a fashion show every other week and of course the infamous Jackie taylor fashion show.
- Speaking of Jackie Taylor, Mel is married to yet another child bride, I mean we saw Jackie a few weeks ago, how long was that going to last?
- Silver now is getting a house to herself ala Dylan
- Only a matter of time before a few racial remarks were thrown around. Those were good ones though and worth the wait. Everyone just seemed to let it slide that there was a new teenage black kid in town living with the new principal. Now does Dixon getting the stereotypical reputation or does that story fade away being that Debbie has gotten to keep her job?
- I have been calling for more lori loughlin but they need to do a better job than that, she has a huge following and it needs to be exploited.
- When the original first started in 1990 it had so much bad acting, partially because the majority of the cast was fresh and in their first real roles and partially because teen drama was unheard of in 1990 and the producers and writers could not adapt. Shortly though everyone fell into their role and there was little to no bad acting left. Then the original successor to BH 90210, the OC, did not have bad acting, other than Mischa Barton, solely because of Josh Schwartz. He was reaching, he was well researched and knew what he was doing in writing and producing that show. My point is this Naomi girl, she is horrendous. Her storylines are childish, her character is stupid as she actually thinks this Ethan guy likes her. Ethan is with her so he can get laid and because he feels bad. Naomi’s character in the pilot, recall she was out spending daddy’s money at the clubs fits more than this whiney girl thinking she is going to make her parents get back together. she should be out there milking this for all its worth from her daddy. Even Kelly Taylor handled Jack Taylor like more of an adult. My wife, who refuses to read this but watches religiously, commented on Naomi last night and how her character just doesn’t fit. Her comments were more geared to her choice of outfits than anything with substance.
- Was Kelly living in Carly’s old house that David subsequently moved into? What happened to the beach apartment?
- Navid is back and is Persian, no comment yet? but figures his dad is in the porn business.
- Naomi’s mom can be the Beverly Hills town slut, exciting
- Good choice by Annie, just be friends. It was sort of like the Brandon/mary ann moore goodbye
- Adrianna will cause some hell on this show. Rumor has it she is going to try and have an affair with Ryan, most likely for revenge
- Brenda Walsh makes this show for me, don’t know about anyone else
- Lot of name dropping last night --- Dylan, Brandon, Mel, Jackie. Those that have not yet been name dropped include David, Steve, Janice, Valerie, Gina, Noah, Matt, Andrea (unless you include Hannah Zuckerman Vazquez) and Jim and Cindy Walsh.

As always if I missed anything or you have any ideas just let me know.

As always welcome new 9-0ers. Till next week.

Week # 4

Well the good news is that the show has been picked up for a full season. In this day and time that means about 22 0r 23 episodes. Note that the original was about 30 episodes per year. The bad news is that even after his name was dropped, Dylan stands by that he will not be guest starring on the show. When asked he said “that own the name and likeness” typical Dylan McKay comment. I will still maintain and hold out hope that he will be back, after all he was the only original cast member who left to comeback and reprise his role in more than just a 1 episode guest spot.

On to last night’s show. I must say I was truly not inspired but was satisfied. You need an episode like this every once in awhile to maintain that which ought to be maintained and that is some sense of normalcy.

Random thoughts
- She didn’t have sex with Ty. I am relieved, I think Ty has overstayed his Mary Ann Moore stay at West Bev. Now that the school play is over his story line can be wiped out. We can get to focusing on the inevitable love triangle between Ethan, Naomi and Annie. The love triangle is the central plot line to the making of good 90210 TV ------ Brenda, Kelly, Dylan ------ Kelly, Brandon, Dylan ------- Kelly, Matt, Dylan. The show was always at its height of potential when someone’s heart was breaking and someone (a friend) was doing the breaking in conjunction with a trusted confidant. The kind of plot that you would say after each episode ---“Damn that’s good tv”
- Principal Wilson has a large visible tattoo on his forearm. Would Jim Walsh show that off? Is that something someone from Kansas would have? He is a principal! Did he get it when he was a teenager in BH before moving to Kansas? Was it socially acceptable back in the 80’s to get tattoos like it is now? Why would the producers want this to be seen? Jim Walsh never wore anything but his button down shirt, tight tie and suspenders. There is an air of mystery surrounding Principal Wilson. The tattoo, the kid he has with Naomi’s mom that was given up for adoption that he has made no effort to find out more info on or his whereabouts and now he is back in BH after years in Kansas. His mother doesn’t look like she needs to be taken care of, in any event, even if she does, couldn’t she afford that bill? why did he leave in the first place?
- There is nothing to this Dixon guy ……..yet. I am hoping for a big push on his character but right now he just appears to be there for PC reasons.
- Good that naomi’s parents are getting divorced. The plot line stunk, she got ethan back because of it and now it opens the door for drama coming from her mom who looks like she can bring it. Possibly heat it up again with Principal Wilson.
- Adriana is back, we knew she would be. She has turned out to be a true villain reminiscent of the one and only Valerie Malone. We saw this a little in the pilot when she stole the money from Naomi but last night was just downright scandalous. Valerie Malone was the first true villain on the show to be part of the “group”. There was Emily Valentine, but she was really part of the group and wasn’t scandalous to the levels of Val, Emily really only had a negative effect on Brandon. Val was all over the place for years. What Adriana did last night was straight out of Valerie Malone’s playbook. But Val always had a motive. What was adriana’s? Did she want TY to herself or does she just hate Annie? Val’s motive when not driven by money and power was her crush on Brandon and her hate for Kelly. I hope the villain plot line for Adriana plays out and it wasn’t just there to get Ty off the show and end his plot line. Much like the love triangle you need a quality villain to stir the pot, especially in High School. I mean look what Chuck Bass did on Gossip Girl, he brought the Bitch back in Serena, something we would think was long gone and we would have to catch the prequel to see.
- Fashion show next week ---- who will have the honorary Jackie Taylor meltdown? Isn’t that why they have fashion show?
- Back to why I was not inspired yet satisfied ---- nothing really happened, just a lot of little seeds were planted for bigger storylines to follow. For a show to make, and the benchmark would be 10 years, they need the episodes that just transition you in to the following week. The original was great with their stand alone episodes that were merely just 1 hour gap fillers which focused on character development. Although more happened this week than merely character development, it was a welcomed slow down to the non-stop drama. As you know I never really bought into the Annie/Ty relationship so the fallout was more about the villain than those affected by it for me.
- Not enough Lori Loughlin this week, the show needs more of her and they owe it to the audience to show more of her. Perhaps a friendship with Kelly and Brenda.

As always welcome to our new additions.

Yes I am 30 years old and I watch 90210 on a channel that was recently invented. I said the same thing in 1990, yes I am 12 years old and I watch 90210 on a channel that was just recently invented. For those that have little to no recollection, fox was brand new in and around 1990 and 90210 was one of the first shows to put it on the map. Whatever channel 90210 is on now, 9 or 11 or CW or WB, whatever its called, I actually think those merged, should only be so lucky and fortunate as Fox was.

The fact is 90210 was the 90’s as it amassed the entire decade. It is pop culture. We always refer to the 80’s by things like 80’s music or 80’s movies. What about the 90’s? 90210 sums up the entire decade. This is the 90’s.

Till next week.

Week #3

I think we all know there is only one word to sum that properly sums this episode up ------Dylan. Yes, Dylan McKay is back. As I wrote last week, he was the most likely suitor to be Sammie’s father and sure enough he is. Looks like Kelly had another “one night in Mexico” with him, sometime in 2004. The fact that the news came out of Brenda’s mouth made this even more enjoyable. We have not had a Brenda, Kelly, Dylan love triangle since 1993, down the block from Casa Walsh (more on Casa Walsh later) when Brenda told both Kelly and Dylan that she hates them both and never wants to talk to either of them after she is told about Kelly and Dylan’s relations during the summer she was away in Paris. It was often eluded to that Dylan and Brenda reconnected in London after Dylan left Beverly Hills when his wife Toni died. For Steve’s 21st birthday party hosted by Claire’s friend the Prince on the Queen Mary, David and Donna had sent Brenda and e-mail requesting a video bday wish to steve but received a delivery from Brenda’s address in London but signed by Dylan. The tone in Brenda’s voice last night when speaking of Dylan, she referred to the situation as complicated to Ryan, indicating to me that she is still somewhat involved with Dylan (or maybe I am hoping) and the greatest love triangle in tv history continues…… it has been way too long, I am beyond excited for Dylan’s physical return. He will return to Beverly Hills, he has before. He is actually the only one to return to Beverly Hills. Brenda, Brandon, Jim and Cindy Walsh, Valerie, Gina they never returned, but Dylan did. This show was made on the Dylan and Brenda relationship. We all liked Brandon and steve and Kelly, even Donna, but we were fans of Dylan. We felt his pain when his father’s car blew up, we felt his animosity towards Mr. Walsh when he was dating Brenda, we felt his anger when he saw Kelly and Brandon together at Donna’s Ball (“My Best Man and My Best Girl”), we sympathized with him as he held his dead wife in his arms in the rain in the middle of the street, when he left Beverly Hills we said goodbye with the hopes that we would meet again. When he returned it was more than just an old friend coming home, this was Dylan McKay, we looked up to him, he was COOL, at a time when we didn’t know what cool was. He always said the coolest things (in response to Brandon after he found out about his relationship with Kelly and Brandon said “are you sure you want to burn those bridges bro” Dylan said quite possibly the coolest thing ever ---“may the fire that burns those bridges be my guiding light”) he always did the coolest things (pretty much anything he did with Gina and their relationship and all the times he saved one of his friends because he “had been there before” (flushing David’s drugs down the toilet, bailing Noah and Nat out of financial troubles)).

A few random thoughts from last night’s episode

-Donna Martin graduates!! Great reference to best BH 90210 episode ever
-someone pointed this out to me earlier today, I did not catch it but Ethan’s home is possibly Casa Walsh. That infamous front room where so much went down. Lori Loughlin was on a fantasy football podcast earlier this week and was asked why the Wilsons are always at the dining room table. Her answer was that the entire set has not been built and that is the only part of Casa Wilson that was built, so if Casa Walsh was never destroyed quite possibly it is ethan’s home unless of course Steve and Janice still reside there.
-Dixon works for Nat at the Peach Pit this makes him like Brandon you would think. But he is going to start dating Silver who is the Dylan of the show. A clever hybrid of the two, same for his sister Annie who wants to be an actress you would think she is like Brenda, but she is clearly the moral conscience of the show ala Brandon. In other comparisons Naomi is the Steve Sanders –spoiled rich kid and Ethan is Kelly Taylor --- the coolest in the school who wants to do right but has a bit of a reputation.
-interesting dynamics to the show is the 3 generations the story lines will go ---- the kids in high school, the young adults (Kelly, Brenda, Ryan etc.) and the parents of the kids in HS. The OC tried to cover 2 generations – the kids and the parents and the original was mainly just the kids. If there is not a story line to lori loughlin I will be disappointed.
-when Dylan finally returns and pisses both Brenda and Ryan off as only Dylan can do, how soon does he start screwing Naomi’s mother who will finally leave her husband?

For those of you who know me, know what a big fan I am of Dylan McKay. Often when making tough life decisions I find myself asking what would Dylan do (WWDD)? He is definitely top 3 in my book possibly top 2. I get that excited just by the mention of his name, no less than by Brenda Walsh. I am beyond ecstatic for the impending return of Dylan McKay. I remember I once watched an episode of that stupid sitcom Jennie Garth did, “What I Like About You” on the CW or WB before the merger just because Dylan was guest starring and would be in a scene with Kelly Taylor. And now you are telling me he may be in scenes with both Brenda and Kelly. I am beside myself, I am out of my mind …… be back in 5 minutes.

The weekly e-mail started at 2, grew to 4 the next week and is now 6, welcome newcomers. It has been suggested by multiple fellow 9-0ers, that we turn this into a blog so there can be comment sharing and whatever else blogs do. I guess I am old fashion I don’t blog and I don’t even do the facebook thing. My response to the blogging was not to get ahead of ourselves and lets make it a year and get picked up for season 2. I am mean what are Ian Zeiring, Jason Preistly, Brian Austin Green and tori spelling doing that they cannot join the cast. Not only did this show make all of their careers it will most likely be the only significant contribution to Hollywood. They are not bigger than the show, get on board. This should have been the longest running evening soap/drama and should have never ended to begin with.

Till next week

Jeff

Week#2

My initial thoughts on last night's episode were that this show may not withstand the test of time. A lot was crammed into that hour. Perhaps my hopes were set a little high due to last week's 2 episodes. But going forward they need some normalcy, draw the stories out over time. Have episodes about meaningless BS that just fill the week and insure that something will happen in the coming weeks but the show will last 10 years not like the early demise of the OC.

Some random thoughts –
-My my Ann Gillespie --- what has happened to you, you definitely did not age well in Beverly Hills, Mel Silver must have done a number on you. Not to mention it looks like you live in Andrea's grandmother's apartment on the other side of Wilshire
-many characters have a little bit of Dylan in them, which I don't mind but it appears the most likely to take over that role is Silver. Was anyone else waiting for Silver to throw a flower pot?
-Annie is clearly the Brandon walsh of the show. And she has a striking resemblance to lori loughlin, good casting unlike the mismatched walshes.
-Kelly's kid ---- who is the father? It is clear the father will be the first to sign on to come back to the show: The possibilities and the case against each –

1. Dylan McKay --- In my opinion the strongest suitor as Kelly mentioned they had a lot of history from High School. She also mentioned that she randomly ran into him 4 years ago and a kid happened. What happened in 2000 when she got back together with him at Donna and David's wedding? Does she just fail to mention that they reconnected 8 years ago? What happened to them between 2000 and 2004? Maybe it didn't work out, but she just mentioned High School not the Matt Durning years. One other key point, she obviously had a one night stand with the child's father and any relationship was after. She had a one night stand with Dylan in Mexico when out on the hunt for medicine for Matt's wife so it is not unlikely that she would do that with him as we know of no one else she has had a one night stand with. Kelly's mother did not speak very highly of the child's father often they way people used to speak of Dylan.
2. Brandon Walsh ---- Did they have history in High School ----- No, other than a little crush. Their history dates back to college and Brandon's bid for president of CU. Plenty of history in that relationship. He always saved her and was by her side (finley, fire, colin, her father, etc.) but all of this was well after they graduated from West Beverly. Prior to that she was just Brenda's best friend and it wasn't until Brenda left that their relationship blossomed. Given their history and the mench that Brandon is, is Brandon Walsh really going to be an absentee father? He always does the right thing always. This past weekend on soapnet he and susan broke up because she took the job in DC after he gave up his opportunity to work in Boston to travel the country with him. He was genuinely mad at her for not, in his mind, doing the right thing. After the fire she was in at the KEG party when Brandon was with Emily valentine I do not see Brandon abandoning her and letting her down.
3. Steve Sanders --- Definitely history from High School, but we would need to see the prequel. The kid looks like Steve and the kid's name is Sammie, possibly after steve's mom Samantha. But Steve is a family man now with his wife Janice and their daughter, do you think they really got divorced. Steve and Kelly were both staples on the show. Neither ever moved from Beverly Hills. They never had the chemistry as young adults that they can get intimate at any given moment. Also for this to be accurate they would not have seen eachother from the time of David and Donna's wedding until 4 years later. Doesn't look like Kelly left Beverly Hills, could Steve have? He has roots there, his parents, janet's parents, and if they got divorced would janet move away or would steve be that far from his child. That core group that remained from season 1 through season 10 --- Steve, Kelly, David and Donna ---- would always be in touch so I do not see this as that realistic.
4. David Silver --- History in High school, yes, he did have a crush on her and got to dance with her. He has evolved into a more attractive character since his early days when he had that crush. Come on, really, no way this is 90210 not the OC or gossip girl where step brothers and step sisters get together, make babies etc. I mean they have a sister who now lives with Kelly. Least likely candidate.
5. Ross Webber-----The guy who Kelly lost her virginity to in the bushes freshman year, definitely history in High School.
6. Harry Wilson ----- The new principal of West Beverly Hills High School. He is a few years older than Kelly and apparently they grew up on the same block in BH and Kelly had a crush on him. He recently returned from Kansas, why? He says to take care of his mother. She didn't look like she needed help and she has plenty of money to pay or hire help. Perhaps he came back to BH to visit his mother and ran into Kelly and was seeing her for the first time since her freshman year of HS when Kelly had a crush on him (history). They have sex, she gets pregnant and he moves the family out to Kansas to be close to his love child, yet no one says his name because young Silver is a student at WBH and Kelly works there and he is still happily married. Why would someone cheat on lori loughlin?

-I am not into Naomi yet, but she will likely join the group headed by Ethan and Annie. Somehow someway Naomi and Silver will grieve through their problems together and become best friends.
-is this Ty guy a Mary Ann Moore? Or will he be around. I don't like him, he doesn't fit in. only a matter of time before annie and ethan get together. Hopefully they let it play out like david/donna, Kelly/Brandon, Kelly/Brandon 2, Kelly/Dylan and Kelly/Dylan 2 not like summer/seth.

Till next week when Brenda the villain returns.

Jeff

Week #1

I felt like I was back in N-71 on Wednesday night at 8pm last night, with that and the invention of tivo/vcr the show may have to be watched at that time with commercials.

As for a few thoughts

- Any show lori loughlin is on is must watch tv
- The Brenda/Kelly reunion at the peach pit over mega burgers and pies served by Nat Bussichio was tremendous and well worth the 13 year wait
- The CW is extremely edgy --- road head!!!
- The new show opening scene is just like the old show opening scene as we drive around Beverly hills to the sounds of a popular new song
- I like the way the show just picked up 8 years later
- Hannah Zuckerman-vasquez doing the news, this needs to be a bigger deal, when did andrea move back and how if she is back does she not hang with Kelly or Brenda or maybe she came to west Beverly to continue andrea's legacy and lives with her great grandmother on the other side of the tracks
- Too many characters so far, it should be narrowed down sooner or later
- Don't these kids (Naomi) need a place to shop --- Now Wear This! --- where is Donna Martin's store
- Don't they need a trash magazine to read, where is steve and janet
- Wasn't erin silver blonde last we saw her
- Who was jackie's best friend that mel had an affair with, babette?
- Solid move evolving the role of Brandon into a black person, very PC. This would have never flown in 1991 when the show started
- Annie is hot, much hotter than any teenager from the class of '93
- It is only a matter of time until we have 90210 the prequel, with rob estes and naomi's mother as the class of '89, BH pre-walsh invasion
- Lori loughlin needs to lose the Kansas dress and dress more Beverly hills, can't wait until she has that Beverly hills moment. I would be disappointed if she turned into Cindy Walsh goody goody
- I think this show will put the OC to shame in the sense that we thought that was the new 90210, there truly is only one 90210. Some will imitate and compare but there should never be another

Till next week
