I was actually getting worried that they were going to kill Brenda off the show and we would only be stuck with Kelly as our face from the original, luckily they came to their senses and we are not through with Brenda just yet.
Overall, I enjoyed the episode after the layoff. Annie has proved to be a tough strong minded girl. A little too touchy feely with this Ethan guy though. By the way, as i have told you before I have a friend who is an actor out in LA and happened to have dinner with him while he was in NYC over the holiday. I have been pushing him to get on 90210 before he gets too old, for my benefit of course, not his. He does have connections to the show though. He worked with Ethan on an episode of Supernaturals (they are currently doing webisodes) and he read with Annie at a casting call. Thought that was pretty cool. I often reccomend his movies when they are released. Currently on netflix you can find "My Sassy Girl" (also starring Jack Bauer's daughter), "Boxboarders" and "American Zombie".
on to last night's episode
-great t-mobile commercial recapping the entire season so far. I felt like i was watching an episode of Dukes of Hazzard, they used to do that towards the end after a commercial
-how much do you think Dr. Pepper paid for all the product placement at the Peach Pit?
-Dylan must have left a lot of money to turn the pit into what it is now
-Let's talk about Adriana --- An admitted slut at the age of 16, but making a face turn from heel status, so we are going to have to accept this behavior as long as Navid and her support group keep her straight. Random internet research uncovers a rumor that Ty will be back as possibly the father of Adriana's baby. Will she keep the baby? have an abortion? put the baby up for adoption? I am sure Kelly Taylor will put her two cents in. She can speak from experience of being the 16 year old slut and the mother to a child out of wedlock. Could Brenda adopt this baby?
-Brenda's illness -- I honestly thought she was going to have a terminal illness and was preparing to say goodbye with the prospects of reuniting the entire cast for her funeral but as i stated before i am relieved she will stay and perhaps have an expanded role.
-I am not convinced the adopted son is gone. Good spin though with the PI being involved. Tracy Clarke has go to have something more to do with this. I find quite unrealistic that in the middle of the night she was able to come up with $200,000 dollars to pay the gambling debt by way of her soon to be x-husband without the involvement of their divorce lawyers. This angle should not end here.
-The bisexual--- as i posted a few weeks ago, we knew she was gay. Thanks to loyalist EMA for the scoop. Sometimes internet rumors can be true!
-Did Dixon look comfortable at "his type of party" I bet he expected something way different. It looked like a Kirsten Cohen bash held at the Newport Beach residence. I have no comment on his rendition of Amazing Grace, i don't do that so I don't know. A celeb sighting rather than just a reference would have been cool but I guess CW doesn't have the budget.
-Back to Tracy Clarke for a second, let's take it abck to the season premiere of season 7, this would be the gang's senior year at CU, and Brandon was working at the TV station with Mark. In this first episode they were auditioning anchors for the news show, and who was the sexy anchor, that auditioned? None other than Tracy Clarke who obvioulsy didn't get the job becuase that went to Brandon's soon to be girlfried Tracy. Do you think at some point Tracy Clarke will approach Kelly Taylor and say "Hey we were at CU together back in 1996".
-how many families sit around playing pictionary like that?
-When Sean showed up in Annie's room before he left, that was spooky
-Naomi was a little inappropriate with Sean in those pictures --- its all about perception. That is why this story line will not die.
other random thoughts
-Real World Brooklyn starts tonight, I say no chance it tops Real World Hollywood. RW Hollywood is the Heavyweight Champion of the Real World Series.
-Chuck Bass is the Dylan McKay of the new millenium. Once again another extraordinary performance
-Just completed reading the autobiography of Ric Flair "To Be The Man". If you read and enjoyed Ric Flair at anytime in the 70's, 80's, 90's or this decade, it is definitely worth the read ----- Wooooooooo
-Lost 1/21 --- I can't repeat this enough
-Looking for a big comeback from jack bauer and 24 this season starting on Sunday
-and last and certainly not least ---- Go Gators, going for their 2nd national championship in the last 3 years under Urban Meyer and 3rd overall
